Private family trees
Your family story, built together.
Map parents, partners and children on a living tree. Add photos and memories, and invite relatives to fill in their branches.
No ads. Your tree is only visible to the people you invite.
What is Sakdulur?
Sakdulur is a free app for building a private family tree together, on the web, on phones and on computers. “Sak dulur” is Javanese for “one family”: everyone in it can add their own branch, photos and stories, and see how they are all related. It works for a small household as well as a whole trah or bani with hundreds of members.
Everything a family tree needs
A real family tree
Couples side by side, children under their own parents, remarriages and divorces — and birth, adoptive, step, foster, guardian and milk parents.
Build it together
Invite relatives as editors or viewers, and share whole branches with the people who know them best.
Private by default
Every tree is private. Only members can see it, and you can export or delete your data anytime.
Ask and update by chatting
“Who is Ayu's father?” or “Add Rani as Ayu's daughter, born 1994.” Ask in plain words or describe a change; nothing is saved until you press Apply. Owners choose whether to turn it on.
One family, many trees
Keep your own tree, your spouse's and your in-laws', and copy a branch between them instead of typing it twice.
On your phone and computer
Use it in the browser or install the app for iPhone, iPad, Android, Mac, Windows or Linux — in English or Bahasa Indonesia, light or dark.

Questions
Is it free?
Yes. Create as many trees as you like and invite your family.
Who can see my tree?
Only the members you invite. Owners decide who is an editor or viewer, and can share branches with specific people.
Can I add relatives who passed away?
Of course. Record dates — even approximate ones like “about 1920” — places, photos and stories.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. Owners can export a tree, or one branch, as an Excel spreadsheet, a GEDCOM file for other family-tree apps or a full JSON backup, and everyone can download their account data or delete their account.
What does “Sakdulur” mean?
“Sak dulur” is Javanese for “one family” or “all of us relatives”. The app is made for exactly that: one place where the whole family's tree lives.
Can I use it for a trah or bani reunion?
Yes. Large family groups can share one tree, give each branch's family edit access to their own part, and print or export the whole tree for the reunion.
How does the AI assistant work?
When a tree's owner turns it on, members can ask questions in Indonesian or English, and editors can ask it to add or update people, relationships and families. Every change is shown first and only saved when you press Apply; it never deletes anything. To answer, the names, dates, places, addresses and notes of the people involved are sent to an AI provider (Google Gemini or Groq). Phone numbers and photos are never sent, and conversations are not stored.
Is there an app for my phone or computer?
Yes. Sakdulur works in any browser, and there are apps for iPhone and iPad (App Store), Android (Google Play), Mac (Mac App Store), Windows (Microsoft Store) and Linux (Snap Store). Your trees are the same everywhere: sign in with the same account.
